The most important thing in cat litter is the quality of bentonite. Cat litter is generally made using widely available industrial bentonite. However, please note that the characteristics of bentonite used for industrial purposes and for cat litter are very different.

Mining and Heat Treatment
Natural bentonite minerals are mined, heat-treated, and dried. The moisture is finely controlled to be most suitable for cat litter. The bentonite after moisture adjustment goes through a special crusher to form the basic shape for separation.
Raw Material Selection and Dust Removal
Crushed bentonite particles are processed for size selection and dust removal at the same time. The process is done in 7 stages, and impurities and dust are removed at each stage. AROPET’s dust-reduction process is applied step by step from the mineral-processing stage onward to keep dust to a minimum.
Blending and Adding Concept Ingredients
Sand particles are blended according to sand grade and particle size based on thoroughly data-driven recipes. At this stage, concept-specific ingredients like zeolite, coconut activated carbon, and deodorizer are added. Even for zeolite alone, there are more than three grades, and the content is designed according to each condition.
Scent treatment and packaging
For scented products, an additional scent treatment process is carried out. We have the know-how for a scent administration process that allows the fragrance to spread when the particles come into contact with moisture. Once all processes are finished, the sand particles are put into packaging, and the product is completed with the final sealing step.
